09/10/10 - The Builders and The Butchers in MFNW Berbati’s Pan | Portland, OR

Just a moment…..

…..to thank everyone who’s helped us out on this tour, we’ve been out almost a month and only 3 hotels which means that we’ve spent significant time on floors across the country, we want to especially thank the folks who’ve put us up for multiple days, James in Orlando for driving us around to fix our van and supplying amazing provisions, Bonnie and Chuck in Boston for an amazing lamb feast, and Bob in northern Georgia for always making us feel so welcome.

Went to see you guys play last night in chicago, and you definitely killed it. When I heard you all were playing here, I was like I’m going to that show, and you did not disappoint. Well, except for not playing the night pt2. I was yelling it out, but no dice. And you needed another half hour on stage. I tried to get a bunch of peeps to go, cause everybody that has heard your music loves it, but easter sunday was a tough one with family stuff going on, but I got a few friends out. Wish I knew about you guys when I lived in portland, would’ve been to alot more shows, but better late than never right. Thanks for playing the chi and I hope you come through again real soon, when you do let me know and I’ll throw you a feast. With me being a cook and all, it’s what i do, and it should be tasty. Also you guys were sold out of the black shirt with a tree on the front and the name across the chest, (well just larges) anyway to get one? Thanks again, sic show, and hope to see you play again soon.

    Derrick,

Thanks for all of the kind words. Just to let you know in the 4 years of the band we’ve only played the night pt II once. It’s probably the most challenging to sing and even on the recording I don’t quite hit the notes. Thanks for the offer of cooking for us, we will totally hit that up, and let me know if you can make it the next time were in chicago, I’ll list you for sure!!

    Love
    The Builders and the Butchers
